Former Penn State Football Wide Receiver Jeff Exinor Jr. Transfers To Virginia Tech

Former Penn State football wide receiver Jeff Exinor Jr. is transferring to Virginia Tech, he announced on social media on Tuesday. He has four years of eligibility remaining.

Exinor was a highly rated member of James Franklin’s last recruiting class at Penn State, ranked as the No. 20 tight end and No. 9 player from Maryland in the 247Sports Composite in the Class of 2025. Upon arriving on campus, the 6-2, 220-pounder switched to wide receiver.

He redshirted in 2025, appearing in just five games without recording a stat. The McDonough School graduate entered the transfer portal after the Pinstripe Bowl.

He’ll follow the head coach who recruited him to Blacksburg, joining several other former Nittany Lions, including quarterback Ethan Grunkemeyer and tight end Matt Henderson.
