Report: Penn State Football Defensive End Cortez Harris Enters Transfer Portal

Penn State football defensive end Cortez Harris is planning to enter the transfer portal, according to CBS Sports’ Chris Hummer. Harris has four years of eligibility left.

Harris appeared in two games for Penn State this season against Villanova and Nebraska. The true freshman did not record any statistics in either.

The edge rusher originally committed to Penn State in June of 2024. He was rated as the No. 38 edge rusher in the country and No. 13 player from Maryland according to the 247Sports composite rankings. The 6’2″, 200-pound player picked Penn State over Maryland, Tennessee, and Virginia Tech.

Harris is the 41st Nittany Lion to enter the transfer portal this offseason.
