Former Penn State Football Offensive Lineman J’ven Williams Transfers To Charlotte

Another former offensive lineman has found a new home.

Former Penn State football offensive lineman J’ven Williams has committed to transfer to Charlotte, the program announced on Sunday morning. He has two years of eligibility remaining.

Williams preserved his redshirt by only appearing in three games in his 2023 true freshman campaign. He saw time on the field in all 16 of Penn State’s games in 2024, primarily on special teams. He received significant time on the offensive line against Kent State and Purdue.

However, Williams suffered an injury early in the 2025 season. He only appeared in three games. Williams served as a decent offensive line depth piece behind Penn State’s talented starters, but his injury set him back from a bigger role.

The Reading, Pennsylvania, native created a lot of hype throughout his recruitment. He was the No. 1 player in the state, No. 6 offensive tackle in the class of 2023, and No. 40 player in the nation, per 247Sports’ Composite rankings.
