Former Penn State Football Assistant Charles Walker Hired By Central Michigan

Former Penn State football assistant running backs coach Charles Walker has been hired as Central Michigan’s running backs coach, he announced on X.

Walker was on Penn State’s staff for the last four seasons under James Franklin. He helped coach running backs Kaytron Allen and Nick Singleton, leading them to their respective Penn State career records for rushing yards and touchdowns.

Prior to his assistant role, Walker was a defensive analyst for the Nittany Lions. He previously worked with Franklin at Vanderbilt back in 2012.

Walker played linebacker at UMass before gaining NFL experience from a multi-year stint with the Atlanta Falcons.
