Penn State Cancels Class Monday At University Park

Due to the snowstorm, Penn State has cancelled classes, activities, and work from 5 a.m. Monday until 5 a.m. on Tuesday at University Park.

The snow started early on Sunday, with a winter storm watch in effect until 1 p.m. on Monday. AccuWeather predicts 12-15 total inches of snow.

Low temperatures will remain today, with a high of 19˚ but 1˚ RealFeel. There will be wind gusts of up to 33 miles per hour, and temperatures will fall down to a low of 0˚.

Instructors may offer content asynchronously for in-person classes, but can not have any meetings. Web classes will continue as offered during the snow day.

For updates on further delays or cancellations, students, faculty, and staff should sign up for PSUAlerts. Parents and community members can find the same information on Facebook and Twitter.

University Police and emergency services will continue operations to ensure campus safety.
