Former Penn State Football Defensive Tackle Sam Siafa Transfers To Delaware

Former Penn State football defensive tackle Sam Siafa has committed to transfer to Delaware, he announced on social media on Tuesday. He has one year of eligibility remaining.

Siafa only appeared in three games over his four seasons in Happy Valley and didn’t record a stat. He made two appearances in 2025 against Villanova and Nebraska. He was named the coaching staff’s Developmental Squad Defensive Player of the Week twice in his 2022 true freshman season and once in 2023. Siafa earned Academic All-Big Ten honors in 2024.

Siafa committed to Penn State as a walk-on and enrolled in April 2023. The Downingtown West High School product tabbed 40 total tackles and four tackles-for-loss in his senior year, according to his MaxPreps profile.

The Pennsylvania native is the 45th Nittany Lion and sixth defensive tackle to find a new program in the transfer portal.
