Cafe Laura Announces Spring 2026 Dinner Themes

Cafe Laura, Penn State’s on-campus eatery run by hospitality management students, announced its themes for its spring 2026 dinners. Each semester, students enrolled in HM 430 collaborate and gain real-world hospitality experience by hosting and running a series of themed dinners over the course of the semester. The course is a senior-level capstone class required for all hospitality management majors.

This semester’s eight dinner themes range from global destinations to the world of Bridgerton to the magic of sports, including March Madness and the World Cup. Each will take place twice during the semester for guests to choose from and provide its own unique twist.

Folks who want to try a taste of food from places around the world have plenty of themed evenings to choose from. These include “Jasmine Jardin: From Madrid to MarraKech” on March 5 and April 9, where you can try anything from Harira Soup to Honey-Harissa Glazed Jumbo Shrimp. There is also “La Estancia: From Argentina to Your Table” on March 19 and April 16, where you can try a State College twist on Argentinian food, and “All Around the Aegean: A cruise through Mediterranean flavors” on March 24 and April 21.

Those hoping to dive into sports through food can do so at “Global Goals: A Taste of the World Cup” on February 26 or April 2, or “March Madness: Madness on the Court, Magic on the Plate” on March 26 or April 23.

There are a variety of other worlds that those dining at Cafe Laura can explore, including “Bridgerton Night- Diamonds of the season” or “Flavors of the Five Rings – From Podium to Plates” on March 17 or April 14. Guests can also explore art masterpieces through taste rather than sight during “Art Gallery Archives – Where Masterpieces are Tasted not Viewed” on February 24 or March 31.

No matter what theme you choose, there is a variety of food for everyone to enjoy. The eatery does not serve alcohol, but it does have a BYOB policy where guests may bring two 12-ounce beers per person, or one 750 mL bottle of wine per two people; age verification is required.
