Firehouse Subs To Open In State College

Firehouse Subs plans to open its first location in Centre County on North Atherton Street.

The fast-casual sub shop offers made-to-order sandwiches and will be one of over 1,200 locations across the country.

The new franchise owners, Sanket Patel and Arun Patel, are local to the State College area, according to WTAJ, and already own a location in DuBois.

The exact location and timeline are unclear, but the owners hope to open by the end of the year.

Firehouse Subs started in Jacksonville, Florida, by firefighter brothers Robin and Chris Sorensen.

The menu includes popular subs like Firehouse Meatball, Hook & Ladder, and Firehouse Hero. All sandwiches are made to order.
