[Photo Story] Penn State Women’s Hockey Splits Weekend Series With RIT

This past weekend, Penn State women’s hockey team returned to Pegula Ice Arena to take on RIT in a two-game series. 

In case you missed it, here are some of our favorite photos of the weekend games.

Friday

Early in the game, the Nittany Lions found their rhythm. Maddy Christian scored early, giving Penn State an early edge.

Mikah Keller also found the back of the net to tie up the game in the third period.

After a hard fight in overtime, the Nittany Lions fell to the Tigers 3–2.

Saturday

Penn State returned to the ice Saturday afternoon, where the Nittany Lions struck early and maintained offensive pressure throughout the game.

Goals from Keller, Kendall Butze, and two from Christian fueled the offense. 

RIT pushed late in the second period, but Penn State responded in the third to secure the win.
