3:46 Sunrise Wakes Up THON Crowd Sunday Morning

3:46 Sunrise lit up the BJC this morning just around 8 a.m. The State College band brought familiar tunes and good vibes to the THON stage.

The band opened up with “American Girl” by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, a classic and perfect hype song ahead of the USA hockey game.

“End of Beginning” by DJO was the next cover for 3:46 Sunrise. Can’t take the City of THON out of the man, right?

Trevor Brown took over for the singer and sang “Dreams” by Fleetwood Mac, something that a lot of spectators probably wished they were doing right now. The BJC was swaying to the lyrics.

Next up was “Don’t Look Back In Anger” by Oasis, a song that they dedicated to the crowd.

“Take Me Out” by Franz Ferdinand hyped the crowd up and caused the whole place to bob their heads to the beat.

“Poolhouse” by The Backseat Lovers was a fan and band favorite, catering to the indie fans in the BJC. You can always enjoy a good guitar riff. The slowness of the song relaxed the crowd and created a sense of tranquility.

“Higher” by Creed serenaded the crowd and continued to bring life back into the crowd. Yes, 3:46 Sunrise, please take us higher.

3:46 Sunrise brought Zach Bryan back to the BJC with “Revival”. The lead singer, Matthew Colannino, used the song to introduce his band. Trevor Brown, a New Jersey native, played the guitar. The bass player, Sonny Vitureira, took the crowd away with a solo. The “best drummer in State College,” Andrew Gille, completed the intros with a drum solo.

“Sunday Morning” by Maroon 5 was fitting for the time and kept the crowd peaceful.

“Valerie” by Amy Winehouse got the crowd grooving and singing.

For their final song, they asked the crowd to take out their flashlights to light up the BJC. “Hey Jude” by The Beatles lit up the crowd. The BJC erupted in “Na, Na, Na” at the chorus of the song.
