Annual THON 5K Set For October 25
Though it’s not time to spend 46 hours dancing yet, the first major in-person THON event is right around the corner!
The annual THON 5K race, the largest pre-THON event and a draw for supporters from across the State College area, has officially been set for Sunday, October 25.
Those who would like to participate in the run can register here. You must register before September 11 to receive a short-sleeve or long-sleeve Dri-FIT T-shirt with your purchase.
Both shirts and runner bibs will be available for pickup during Runner Number Distribution Week, October 19 through October 23, in the THON Store at the HUB or at the registration table on the day of the event. Registration ranges from $20 to $35, depending on the shirt purchased.
At the race, attendees can also enjoy music, a mini pep rally, and concessions available for purchase.
This year, there is also an option to participate in the THON 5K virtually. For $10, you’ll receive access to the THON 5K Strava group with the virtual race link, a THON magnet, a Spotify playlist, and a downloadable runner’s bib. You can register for the virtual race here.
