Four-Star Forward William Yared Commits To Penn State Men’s Hockey

Four-star forward William Yared has committed to Penn State men’s hockey, he announced on social media on Saturday.

Yared, an 18-year-old prospect from Mont-Royal, Quebec, currently plays for the St. John’s Sea Dogs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). In two seasons, he’s tallied 24 goals and 31 assists for 55 total points in 104 combined games.

When Yared will join the Nittany Lions is currently not known, but he is able to join them as soon as the 2026-27 season. He’s additionally eligible for the 2026 NHL Entry Draft, where he is currently listed as the No. 163 North American skater prospect and in line to be a late-round draft pick, per NHL Central Scouting.
