Four-Star Tight End Cooper Terwilliger Commits To Penn State Football

Class of 2027 four-star tight end Cooper Terwilliger has committed to Penn State football, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
The Pierre, South Dakota, native is ranked as the No. 1 player in the state, No. 12 tight end in the class, and No. 258 player nationally, per 247Sports’ Composite rankings.
Terwillinger is the seventh commit in the 2027 class for the Nittany Lions and second on the offensive side of the ball, joining four-star wideout Landon Blum. They are Penn State’s only four-stars of the class so far.
The tight end’s first offer came from Matt Campbell and Iowa State on April 16, 2024. The new head coach was quick to re-up the offer at his new school, extending it on December 18, 2025.
Terwillinger chose Penn State over Alabama, Auburn, and Florida. To see what he can bring to Happy Valley, check out his Hudl highlights here.
