[Photo Story] Penn State Baseball Beats Bucknell 9-7 On Dollar Dog Night

Penn State baseball beat Bucknell 9-7 on Tuesday afternoon for Dollar Dog Night. Another day of cold temperatures didn’t stop more than 4,000 fans from showing up to Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Fans ate a whopping 9,319 hot dogs. Here are our photographer’s favorite images from Tuesday’s Dollar Dog Night.

The Nittany Lions and their fans were ready to go on Dollar Dog Night. Disclaimer: The beautiful sky may be deceiving, given how cold it was.




Penn State men’s soccer’s newly-hired head coach Rob Dow threw the first pitch.
In a bullpen game for the Nittany Lions, Mason Horwat got the start.




Jayden Davis opened the game with a leadoff 407-foot home run.

There were lines everywhere in sight. Nittany Lion fans wanted their hot dogs!


Horwat, Spencer Barnett, Avery Smith, and the rest of the Nittany Lions had a strong first few innings as the crowd watched on.




Up 3-1 in the bottom of the fourth inning, Michael Anderson mashed a two-run homer to left field.
If you ever hear “Ever Since U Left Me (I Went Deaf)” by French Montana & Max B, just know a fence is calling.

The light was just right in the ballpark.



Even the hot dogs got to stretch out their legs. Mustard took the win!


The players howled for hot dogs.




Fans of all ages were able to enjoy the night.

Let’s hope for a Dollar Dog Night above 60 degrees on April 29 against West Virginia. Here’s to more hot dogs!
