Penn State Baseball’s Friday Night Game Against Minnesota Postponed, Doubleheader On Saturday

Penn State baseball’s Friday night clash with Minnesota at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park has been postponed due to inclement weather. The teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon, beginning at 12 p.m.

It’s been an ugly home slate for the Nittany Lions weather-wise, who can’t seem to get fans in the seats at Medlar Field. This is the third home game to be cancelled or postponed, with all three being “Dollar Dog Nights” after the team announced a full weekend of dollar dogs against Minnesota. Both games on Saturday will have the same promotion.

Saturday will be the second doubleheader of the season for Penn State, which was swept on Saturday, April 4, in Omaha against No. 19 Nebraska. The Nittany Lions sit at 12-29 with a 5-16 record in Big Ten play, while the Golden Gophers sit at 27-17 with an 8-13 record in conference play.
