Penn State Canvas Access Restored

Penn State announced on Friday afternoon that the nationwide outage affecting Canvas, the learning management system, has been restored.

In a university-wide email, the executive vice president stated that all access would be restored by 1:30 p.m. Some technical issues may remain during the restoration period, and Penn State will continue to monitor and provide updates as needed.

The nationwide outage affected thousands of schools, forcing the university to cancel all exams from Thursday night on. All students should closely monitor their emails for any announcements from professors regarding final grades and exams.

For those graduating this weekend, the university assured students that final grades affected by the outage will not affect their ability to walk.

Any questions can be directed to the student support resources in each individual academic college.
