Football is back in State College, folks, which means the streets will be packed for the Stripe Out against Marshall.

However, the usual home game parking changes will not be in effect this weekend.

The borough announced the “no parking 2 a.m. to 6 a.m.” restriction will not be lifted from Friday, September 4 to Monday, September 7. The one- and two-hour parking limits will also remain in place.

Vehicles parked in these zones must have a valid permit or an active parking session in the new HONK Mobile parking app.

This change comes as a result of a new “special event parking pilot program” that allows paid parking in the Highlands, Holmes-Foster, and College Heights neighborhoods. The program begins Saturday, September 5.

Sessions in these zones can be prepaid through HONK Mobile.

All Pennsylvania Vehicle Code Violations will stay in effect all weekend. These include:

• No parking anytime in restricted areas

• No parking on sidewalks, intersections, or crosswalks

• No parking within 20 feet of a crosswalk at an intersection

• No parking within 30 feet of a stop sign

• No parking more than 12 inches from the curb

• No parking against traffic

• No parking in front of driveways
