Lady Lions Hire Angie Potthoff As Chief Of Staff

The Lady Lions has added Angie Potthoff, another former Penn State player, as the chief of staff, the team announced on Friday. This comes just days after the addition of Susan Robinson.

The Nittany Lion spent the last seven years as the Notre Dame women’s basketball director of operations. She also served as a high school athletic director for the Chartiers Valley School District and as an assistant coach for both Robert Morris and the Fighting Irish.

Potthoff played for Penn State from 1992 to 1997, earning three Associated Press All-America selections. In her final three years in Happy Valley, she led the Nittany Lions in scoring, rebounding, and field goal percentage. Potthoff made three NCAA tournament appearances while playing.

“I am overjoyed to have another Lady Lion come back home and work for Penn State women’s basketball,” Wright said in a press release. “Having the knowledge of what this program needs to succeed through her own experience will be more than beneficial working on our staff.”
