Former Four-Star Penn State Football Defensive Back Commit Gabriel Jenkins Flips To Colorado

Former Penn State football Class of 2027 four-star defensive back commit Gabriel Jenkins flipped his commitment to Colorado, he announced on Instagram Wednesday morning. Jenkins decommitted from Penn State on October 12, directly following James Franklin’s firing.

Jenkins first committed to the Nittany Lions in August. Jenkins is one of the final Franklin-era commitments to find a home.

The Imani Christian Academy product is ranked as the No. 12 player in Pennsylvania, No. 33 safety in the class of 2027, and No. 321 player in the nation, according to 247Sports’ Composite rankings.

Jenkins held Big Ten offers from USC, Nebraska, Michigan State, Maryland, and Indiana, but ultimately chose Colorado as his new home.
