East Stroudsburg Outfielder Shanley Wall Transfers To Penn State Baseball

Penn State baseball’s first transfer portal acquisition is here, folks.

Division II outfielder Shanley Wall is transferring to Penn State, he announced on social media on Sunday. He has one year of eligibility remaining.

Wall, a native of Souderton, Pennsylvania, has spent all four years of his collegiate career at East Stroudsburg in Division II, where he’s excelled to a .356/.457/.487 slash with nine home runs, 88 RBIs, and 41 stolen bases across 148 career games. His excellent 2024 season, which saw him hit over .400, earned him All-PSAC First Team and All-Atlantic Regional First Team.

Wall suffered a season-ending injury in late February after just eight games, cutting his senior season short. Assuming he gains a medical redshirt for his shortened 2026 campaign, he’ll have one year in State College, regardless of any NCAA rule changes. As a graduate transfer, he was able to enter the portal early and commit before the official opening on June 1.

He’ll look to follow in the footsteps of former Pitt-Johnstown rival Maddox McDonald as a capable defender in center field and baserunner with the Nittany Lions.
