Former Penn State Football Wide Receiver Bobby Engram Named To NFF College Football Hall Of Fame Ballot

Former Penn State football wide receiver Bobby Engram was named to the NFF College Football Hall of Fame ballot, the National Football Foundation announced Monday.
Engram played for the Nittany Lions from 1991 to 1995. He was a key member of the 1994 undefeated team and an offensive unit that cemented its place as one of the most explosive of all time.
Over those four seasons, Engram tallied 3,026 yards, 167 receptions, and 31 touchdowns. His 13 touchdowns in 1993 led the Big Ten in Penn State’s first season as a member of the conference, and remain a program record to this day. His 52 catches in 1994 and 63 in 1995 also topped the charts.
Additionally, Engram was the first Nittany Lion receiver to accumulate 1,000 yards in a single season. He won the inaugural Fred Biletnikoff Award, recognizing the most outstanding wide receiver in college football. Engram currently holds three school records and will be remembered for his legendary four-touchdown performance against Minnesota in 1993.
While Engram is the lone Penn Stater on the ballot, if nominated, he will join former teammates Ki-Jana Carter and Kerry Collins in the Hall of Fame. NFF’s Honors Court will select the class following the conclusion of voting on July 1.
