Former Penn State football placekicker Kevin Kelly will serve as one of the grand marshals in the school’s annual Homecoming Parade, the committee announced on Monday.

Kelly was a member of the Nittany Lion football team from 2005 to 2008, where he topped the all-time Penn State scoring leaderboard by his junior season. He eventually climbed to become the Big Ten’s all-time leading scorer as well.

He earned his degree and a certificate in Health and Physical Education in Penn State’s College of Health and Human Development in 2009.

Kelly began his professional career as a middle school teacher and later made the switch into the sporting goods industry, working at Adidas and now as a Footwear Key Account Manager. Now, he spends time coaching his son Jack’s baseball and soccer teams.

Jess Kelly, Kevin’s wife, will also serve as a Homecoming Grand Marshal. She graduated at the same time as her now-husband with a double-major in HRIM and Public Relations.

Jess was involved with Club Swim and THON at Penn State, meeting Kevin through her involvement with philanthropy. She currently works in the fitness industry as the Studio Leader at Life Time Fort Washington, and as triathlon coach at Sonic Endurance.

The couple will join the team’s associate head coach Terry Smith as grand marshals in 2026.
