We Are Weekend Offers Summertime Fun For Penn Staters; Alumni Association Members Can Register For Discounted Rate

Penn Staters looking for a fun way to kick off summer can attend We Are Weekend, set for June 26–27 on the University Park campus. Nearly 400 alumni and friends have already registered, and there’s still time to sign up and take part in a pickleball tournament, luncheons, campus tours, and commemorative photos at campus landmarks such as the Nittany Lion Shrine and Hintz Family Alumni Center.

Saturday’s schedule will feature an ice cream social at the Alumni Center in the afternoon, along with reserved access to cheer on the State College Spikes at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park that evening.

Plus, new for this year, registrants can show their We Are Weekend event badge at select downtown locations for discounts on drinks and/or food (discounts applicable June 26 and 27). The lineup of participating establishments combines the best of traditional favorites along with new go-to spots for Penn Staters: Big Spring Spirits, Brothers Bar & Grill, Café 210 West, Doggie’s Pub (you can also skip the line with your event badge), Primanti Bros., and The Brewery.

Hosted by the Penn State Alumni Association, We Are Weekend is an annual celebration that showcases the impact of the Penn State community while celebrating the traditions, spirit, and shared identity behind the “We Are” cheer.

Alumni Association members can register at a discount, and travelers can take advantage of reduced rates at a selection of State College-area hotels. View the agenda and register today.
