Former Penn State Football Offensive Lineman Caedan Wallace Released By New England Patriots
Former Penn State football offensive lineman Caedan Wallace was released by the New England Patriots on Monday, according to Jordan Schultz.
Wallace was drafted by the Patriots in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
The 6’5″, 330-pounder started 40 games at right tackle while in Happy Valley, but was tasked with switching to left tackle at the next level.
Wallace appeared in six games for New England as a rookie. He logged two starts before being placed on the injured reserve with an ankle injury. After head coach Mike Vrabel was hired before the 2025 season, he transitioned to guard, appearing in four more games, but did not see the field during the Patriots’ Super Bowl run.
Fast forward to this summer’s training camp, Wallace suffered an injury during 1-on-1 drills, according to Ethan Hurwitz of Sports Illustrated. He missed just over a week of action, allowing other players to jump him on the depth chart.
The 26-year-old will now head to waivers.
