Former Penn State Football Wide Receiver Liam Clifford Signs With Los Angeles Chargers

Former Penn State football receiver Liam Clifford has signed with the Los Angeles Chargers, the team announced Wednesday.

Clifford went undrafted in the 2026 NFL Draft after spending five seasons with the Nittany Lions, where he totaled 530 receiving yards and a touchdown on 42 catches.

He signed with the Indianapolis Colts on July 30, but was released shortly after. Now, he ends up in Southern California with the Chargers, who recently waived receiver Luke Grimm with an injury designation.

Clifford will have a few familiar faces alongside him in the receiver room, including former Penn State pass-catchers Devonte Ross and KeAndre Lambert-Smith.
