Penn State Football Announces 2026 Game Themes

It got a little close, but Penn State football has finally announced the return of its beloved game themes for the upcoming 2026 season.

The Nittany Lions will kick off their season with the Home Opener & Stripe Out against Marshall on September 5, followed by the THON Game against Buffalo, where THON families and volunteers will be celebrated.

Penn State will formally invite all of its alumni back to Beaver Stadium for the annual Homecoming & Helmet Strip Game against Wisconsin on September 26.

Then comes the world-famous White Out on October 10, when the USC Trojans come to town.

To close out their home slate, the Nittany Lions will formally celebrate all of their students across every branch campus during their All-U Day against Purdue on October 31, and then honor ROTC elite, active-duty personnel, veterans, and military families during Military Appreciation Day against Minnesota on November 14.

Lastly, Senior Day on November 21 against Rutgers will also serve as Parents and Families Day, Penn State Faculty/Staff Appreciation Day, Educator Appreciation Day, and First Responders Appreciation Day.
