Lady Lions To Play Saint Joseph’s & James Madison In Non-Conference Schedule
Penn State women’s basketball is continuing to add to its 2026-27 non-conference schedule.
The Lady Lions are set to host Saint Joseph’s on November 22 and James Madison on December 2, the two schools announced in their schedule releases on Wednesday.
Saint Joseph’s finished last season at 20-11 and reached the Atlantic 10 Tournament quarterfinals. Penn State traveled to Philadelphia to face Saint Joseph’s last season, beating the Hawks 89-77. The Lady Lions have won 13 consecutive games against Saint Joseph’s and lead the all-time series 24-9.

Penn State will then face James Madison for the first time since 1991. The Dukes defeated the Lady Lions 73-31 in the second round of that year’s NCAA Tournament and lead the all-time series 3-1.
James Madison finished last season 26-9 and won the Sun Belt Tournament to earn a No. 12 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

The Lady Lions have yet to announce their complete schedule, but folks now know six of this season’s matchups.
Penn State is also scheduled to travel to Arizona State on November 15, face Bowling Green on November 19, Baylor in the Paradise Jam on November 27, and Fordham on December 20.
