[Photo Story] Penn State Women’s Volleyball Takes On No. 1 Nebraska & Iowa

Penn State women’s volleyball has pulled through another week of games, and during a loss to Nebraska and a win over Iowa, Rec Hall’s energy swung between highs and lows.
With our photographers on site for both games, we compiled the best photos from each match to capture the game’s high intensity.
Thursday, October 1
The week began with a loss to Nebraska, but a few individual performances shined through.
Kennedy Martin racked up 17 kills, while Alexis Stucky got 32 assists.



Penn State fell 25-20 in the opening set, but the 5,450 fans in Rec Hall kept the energy up throughout the match.

Although Penn State lost all three sets, with the second and third ending 25-17 and 25-18, fans showed endless support.


Saturday, October 3
Penn State pulled through against Iowa, winning 3-1.
Martin led Penn State with 24 kills. Haley Burgdorf also recorded a double-double with 11 kills and 11 digs.




The first set was a close call, but Iowa defeated Penn State, 25-22.
The crowd, cheerleaders, Blue Band, and Nittany Lions were all there cheering on the team and getting the girls ready for the rest of the match.



The Nittany Lions moved to 10-4 overall and 2-2 in the Big Ten after winning sets two through four, 25-17, 25-22, and 25-19.
