Penn State Men’s Hockey’s Shea Van Olm Day-To-Day With Undisclosed Injury

Penn State men’s hockey sophomore forward Shea Van Olm has suffered an undisclosed injury and is day-to-day, head coach Guy Gadowsky said during Tuesday’s media availability.
Van Olm recorded an assist on Kale Dach’s goal in Penn State’s 3-1 loss to UConn on Friday. The Nittany Lions fell to Sacred Heart 6-3 on Saturday, opening the season 0-2.
Through Penn State’s first two games, Van Olm played left wing on the top line alongside Dane Dowiak and Justin Porier. He also saw time on the Nittany Lions’ second power-play unit.
The Calgary, Alberta, native appeared in 33 games during his freshman season, recording nine goals and three assists for 12 points. He also scored Penn State’s lone goal in its 3-1 loss to Minnesota Duluth in the NCAA Tournament last season.
Penn State returns to Pegula Ice Arena for its home opener against Quinnipiac at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 16.
