Bill #19-21: Walk a Mile in Her Shoes Domestic Violence Awareness March is an event where students, faculty, and members of the State College community walk in solidarity with survivors and victims of domestic violence.
UPUA proposes purchasing items to support student engagement, such as stickers and poster board.
The walk will take place on October 20 from 5:30 to 8 p.m., starting on Allen Street and continuing onto the Omega Delta Sigma Fraternity. Attendees are asked to wear purple.
Bill #19-21: The Walk a Mile in Her Shoes Domestic Violence Awareness March passed unanimously.
Bill #20-21: Halloweekend Lyft Subsidies proposes providing $10 Lyft ride codes for students traveling in an area around campus, determined by Lyft and the chair of campus operations, during the weekend of Halloween.
Transportation around downtown at night can be difficult and unsafe. UPUA hopes Lyft subsidies will let students travel safely around campus more affordably.
Bill #20-21: Halloweekend Lyft Subsidies was also passed unanimously.
Bill #21-21: Justice and Equity Fall 2026 Identity Roundtable proposes that UPUA’s Committee of Justice and Equity host an “Identity Roundtable.”
The goal of this event is to hear from various community groups on campus and see how inclusion and accessibility can be improved for all students.
“Identity Roundtable” will take place on October 26 at 7:00 p.m. at Flex Theater in the HUB.
Bill #21-21: Justice and Equity Fall 2026 Identity Roundtable passed unanimously.
Bill #22-21: Co-Sponsorship of Bijoya 2026 proposes providing drinks and snacks for a cultural and musical showcase hosted by the Bangladesh Student Association (BSA).
The goal of this event is to represent Bangladeshi culture and introduce students to a mix of Indian and Western classical music. The event will feature a live performance by the renowned musical duo Sourendra—Soumyajit.
Bill #22-21: Co-Sponsorship of Bijoya 2026 was passed 29-1-0.
Bill #23-21: World Sustainability Day Tabling Event proposes that UPUA partner with Indigenous Peoples Students’ Association (ISPA), the Student Sustainability Advisory Council (SSAC), and EcoReps to host a table in the HUB to promote student engagement opportunities to support sustainability initiatives.
To attract students, UPUA plans to purchase baked goods and UPUA-branded seed paper bookmarks. Metal straws and sustainability stickers will also be distributed.
The event will be held on October 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Bill #23-21: World Sustainability Day Tabling Event passed unanimously.
Resolution #04-21: Support for Bathroom Stall Sanitizing Spray proposes that the UPUA support a program to install disinfecting spray dispensers in the HUB’s third-floor bathrooms.
In high-traffic restrooms across campus, finding a bathroom that meets hygienic standards for a student can be difficult.
By implementing disinfecting spray dispensers, UPUA hopes to make using a restroom more appealing to students. UPUA also plans to include these dispensers later on in other areas of campus, such as residential halls, Pattee and Paterno Library, and the Willard Building.
Resolution #04-21: Support for Bathroom Stall Sanitizing Spray passed 18-6-6.
