Penn State Women’s Hockey Ranked No. 7 In Latest USCHO Poll

Penn State women’s hockey fell one spot to No. 7 in the latest USCHO rankings, the association announced Monday.

The drop for Penn State comes after its fifth-straight win and second-straight series sweep. The Nittany Lions wrapped up a weekend where they defeated St. Lawrence 3-1 on Friday and 2-1 on Saturday in overtime.

After looking shaky in close games to start 2026, Penn State is starting to find its rhythm. The Nittany Lions have relied on standout freshmen such as Sofia Ismael and Morgan Stickney, as well as established key contributors in Grace Outwater and Abby Stonehouse.

Both Outwater and Stonehouse put away crucial goals over the weekend, with Outwater netting the overtime winner on Saturday.

Penn State will try to begin trending in the opposite direction next weekend, as it remains on the road to take on RIT in a two-game set in Rochester, New York.
