Costumes & Cocktails: Compiling Halloween Bar Events In Downtown State College
It’s officially Halloween week in State College, folks, and as usual, Happy Valley is going all out to celebrate.
While there are many ways to celebrate Halloween, folks 21 and older will flock to downtown State College bars.
Even on holidays, it’s always a good idea to save money where you can, so we decided to help. Here’s a list of the best bar events in downtown State College for Halloweekend.
Doggie’s Pub
Doggies is having the perfect pre-Halloweekend event: Halloween-themed music bingo and trivia on Wednesday starting at 7 p.m. The songs and trivia questions will all be spooky-themed.
Monster Energy will sponsor the event, so attendees will have a chance to win Monster Energy prizes amongst other things.
Cafe 210 West
Another pre-Halloweekend event!
On Tuesday at 10 p.m., Cafe 210 will host the State Queens for a Halloween costume party drag show.
Champs Downtown
On Thursday, Champs will host DVSN Halloween edition!
Charly Jordan will perform, plus there will be a costume contest and giveaways.
Sharkies Bar & Bottle Shop
If you like trivia, this week is for you!
In addition to Doggies, Sharkies is hosting a trivia night, Halloween edition, on Wednesday. Put on your best costume and go jump from trivia to trivia Wednesday night!
The event starts at 7:30 p.m.
Stage West
Stage West is offering a lineup of events for Halloween week.
Wednesday will be a dry event featuring DJ Yemi; Thursday will feature Knolldoll; and Saturday, on Halloween, will showcase the band Beachcrimes for their Halloween party.
Tickets for each event are available through LineLeap.
The Shandygaff
On Thursday, the Shandygaff will host a costume contest with all-night specials, including $5 24-ounce beer tallboys, $7 32-ounce liquor pitchers until midnight, $3 captains & cokes, and half-off happy hour until midnight.
The night will also feature giveaways and cash prizes.
Besides the Halloween-specific event Thursday night, you can always rely on a good Gaffeoke on Wednesday to sing some Halloween classics!
Stay safe and happy Halloween, folks!
