
The eight defendants are among 24 still facing charges in connection with the February 2017 death of Penn State fraternity pledge Timothy Piazza, who sustained fatal injuries after falling during an alcohol-fueled initiation event prosecutors have described as hazing.

"Based on our sales of parking passes and VIP passes, we’re going to have a bigger crowd this year than we’ve had for awhile."

The entire block will then be closed again to traffic after 7 a.m. on Tuesday for crews to perform roadway restoration work.

The 100 block of South Pugh Street is closed after a water main break on Sunday afternoon.

"I don’t have high regard for what [Freeh] did, and I look forward to the day when the work we just finished is released to all of you so you can understand what we did."

Whether any of the rest of the 38-member board will attend the meeting remains to be seen.
