Nobody A wise man once told me, "Dodgeball is 90 percent heart and 10 percent skill." It was with those words in mind that I suited up for the First Annual Spring Media Dodgeball Spectacular. The wise man was wrong. Well, sort of.

Let me just get one out of the way first: the Blue-White game is potentially the most over-hyped event in Penn State athletics. Every year, I shake off my hangover and make the walk up to Beaver Stadium. And every year, I am left asking myself why.

It was a sad day last month when Penn State was forced to cut down one of the majestic elm trees in front of Old Main. The tree, which had cast a shadow over Old Main for nearly 80 years, was infected by Elm yellows disease -- a disease that has claimed nearly a quarter of Penn State's elms over the last five years.

Quite a bit has changed since October 22, 2011, when the Penn State media giants last met within the hallowed confines of Pollock Quad. Awards have been won, leaders have changed, and moments of understanding have increased.

Yesterday afternoon, President Rodney Erickson and other key administrators held an open town hall forum in the HUB where they discussed issues ranging from rising tuition to the viability of Commonwealth Campuses.

As part of his pledge for transparency, President Rodney Erickson will host his second Town Hall Forum today at 4:30 in the HUB Auditorium. The event will also be live streamed.
This event comes a day after it was announced -- not surprisingly -- that President Erickson was served a subpoena to testify before a state grand jury investigating the allegations of sexual abuse against Jerry Sandusky.
