5 Songs for the Weekend

So it's an away game, another playlist, another pain in the ass. I know, I know. But you have to make the mix to continue drinking all day while we prep for the Iowa game, right?
At this point, we've begun to cover every genre. This week has even more new songs from dubstep artists, as well as the usual Mr. Kanye West. As we try to diversify the songs for the playlist, keep in mind that some songs just aren't right for the party (like the new Glee soundtrack), and that this party playlist is solely for the purpose of shakin' asses.

SOMA to Hold First Event

Tonight from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., the Students for the Organization of the Multiple Arts (SOMA) will hold their first event, an open mic night in the Waring Study Lounge at West Commons.

‘Everybody Must Get Stoned’ Before Dylan @ BJC

Now, this is only a suggestion.

But for those fans of the reference may already understand that Mr. Robert Zimmerman, a.k.a. Bob Dylan, will be performing at the Bryce Jordan Center on Nov. 9 at 8 pm, according to the artist’s website.

We mixed it up last week with more than just hip-hop and rap, but let's be honest. We all know what sort of music gets the party going (no, not you, Kenny G).

A Call to Arms, Inspired by Elf Power

Last night, a dark room filled with dancing hipsters, hookah-lovers and music snobs all gathered at Chronic Town to watch Elf Power, an indie-pop band perform. The show, held in the hookah lounge/headshop/vinyl provider was just one of many that are being held at the venue.
