Transit Plays House Show at Casa Blanca in State College

On Tuesday, Run For Cover artist Transit played a house show at La Casa Blanca, hosted by student music organization Asylum.

Transit is a rising pop-punk band on the same label as local musician, Koji.

The show also featured the band Handguns who has recently released their first label album called "Don't Bite Your Tongue."

Transit's house performance kept fans rocking as they played some tracks from their new album "Something Left Behind," and thanked the audience for those who came to see them.

Battle: Los Angeles

Last week, we ran a post with an interview with R&B artist/actor Ne-Yo about his upcoming movie Battle: Los Angeles that also stars Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight, Thank You for Smoking) and Michelle Rodriguez (Fast and the Furious, S.W.A.T.).

Pre-Break Playlist

As I write this, I am admittedly still feeling the effects of the holidays, and I realize I'll probably recover by this time next year just in time for State Patty's 2012. No matter, if you need music to finally get you out of bed this week or just something to listen to while you ignore your friends' recollections of the weekend, I'm here for you. Here are this week's music suggestions to keep you going for the last week of classes before that long-awaited break.

3OH!3 to Play HUB

Crunk-pop band 3OH!3 is scheduled to perform on Friday, March 18th in Alumni Hall at 10 P.M. as a part of SPA LateNight. There will be no tickets for this event. Students with valid PSU ID will be let in for free on a first come, first serve basis.

Hi-Ho Ne-Yo!

On my off time, I love to talk about music, movies and everything in between. Just as I do with my friends, I had a nice conversation with R&B sensation and actor, Ne-Yo, a.k.a Shaffer Smith about his upcoming album, working on his newest film and life as a dual-threat in the media scene.

Post-THON Dancer Playlist

This weekend, music played a huge role in keeping the 708 dancers energized and motivated to continue bumpin' and shakin' FTK. Instead of picking out a few good songs you could add to your pre-State Patty’s mixes, but have no fear, we’ll make sure you have a playlist for that later in the week.
