I grew up in a Philly suburb, then moved to a different one. I am now at Penn State, where I can actually sate my giant appetite for sports. Other than writing, I also play the cello in the Penn State Philharmonic.

Emotions, Excitement Abound During Penn State-Nebraska Game

The fans packed Beaver Stadium. The student-organized "Blue-Out" was a success. There were emotional moments, as well as exciting moments as Penn State took on Nebraska on Saturday afternoon. Here is a recap of some of the best/most touching moments after one half of play today.

Gameday: Penn State vs. Nebraska

At noon, 20 seniors on the Penn State football team will take to the field at Beaver Stadium for the final time. Despite the Sandusky incident and the firing of head coach Joe Paterno, there is still a game to play. According to Weather.com, it will be 50 degrees at noon when Penn State takes on Nebraska. As always, Onward State and StateCollege.com have you covered for all of you gameday needs.

Penn State-Nebraska Preview

Amid the Jerry Sandusky scandal that has rocked the Penn State community, there will still be a football game on Saturday. No. 12 Penn State (8-1, 5-0 Big Ten) takes on Nebraska (7-2, 3-2 Big Ten) at Beaver Stadium at noon. Tom Bradley's first game as head coach comes against a tough Cornhusker squad that was upset by Northwestern last week.

Tom Bradley Holds Press Conference

Tom Bradley took the podium in the Beaver Stadium media room for the first time as head coach of the Penn State football team on Thursday afternoon. Bradley, in his 33rd season on the staff, has held the defensive coordinator position since Jerry Sandusky retired in 1998. He takes over for Joe Paterno, who was fired late Wednesday night.

Mid-Season Report: How the Sandusky Incident Will Affect the Team

Penn State and Jerry Sandusky. For the foreseeable future, those two names will go hand in hand. The Sandusky story will lead every Penn State football game, questions about Joe Paterno's involvement will dominate every television broadcast, and this football season will forever be remembered for what happened off the field.

The biggest questions for the Penn State football team this week will be about distractions. Will the team be able to ignore the scandal? Should they ignore it? Will it be possible to focus wholly on the Nebraska game on Saturday when Paterno and Mike McQueary are directly involved with the situation?

I think the answers to all those questions is "yes."

Penn State Pulls Out 10-7 Victory Over Illinois

It snowed in October.

At least that was interesting.

Oh, and Penn State beat Illinois 10-7. I guess that happened as well.
Heading into the game, the teams were heading in opposite directions, with the Nittany Lions winning six straight, while the Illini had lost two in a row. Penn State was also looking to avenge a 33-13 loss to Illinois from last year at Beaver Stadium.
