Just three days after being demolished at home by Indiana, one of the best teams in the country, Penn State (8-6, 0-2 Big Ten) will look to avoid an 0-3 start in the Big Ten as they host Northwestern (9-6, 0-2 Big Ten) at 8 p.m. at the Bryce Jordan Center. The game will feature dollar hot dogs and free snapback hats for students.

Lady Lions Crush Michigan State

The Penn State Lady Lions continued their impressive early season play on Sunday, dominating both sides of the ball en route to a 76-55 victory at Michigan State. Penn State was led by Maryland transfer Dara Taylor, who scored a career high 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting while also adding three rebounds, four assists and three steals. Taylor was one of four Lady Lions to register double figures in scoring on the afternoon as the Lady Lions shot 51.8%.

Penn State Faces Wisconsin in Big Ten Opener, Two Additional Captains Named

The Penn State men’s basketball team has won four straight contests and appears to have finally found confidence on offense in the absence of All-Big Ten guard Tim Frazier. Over the course of the winning streak-- which includes home wins over Army, Delaware State, New Hampshire, and Duquesne-- the Nittany Lions have averaged 78.5 points per game. The Lions (8-4) will look to continue their success on offense as they enter Big Ten play tonight on the road against the Wisconsin Badgers (9-4) at 8:30 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.

Penn State Outlasts Duquesne 84-74

Penn State finished out its non-conference slate with an impressive offensive performance as ten Nittany Lions scored in an 84-74 victory over Duquesne at the Bryce Jordan Center. D.J. Newbill was all over the court for the Lions, registering a double-double with 23 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 assists. Nick Colella scored 15 points, while Sasa Borovnjak added 14.

Penn State Crushed by La Salle in Philadelphia

Playing at the historic Palestra in Philadelphia, Penn State fought and clawed for 40 minutes. The gritty effort wasn't enough to overcome a barrage of hot three-point shooting from La Salle however, as the Nittany Lions fell 82-57 in a tale of two halves.
