There are many sights to be seen in State College, but when you're new to the area you might not know where to start. First, talk to your friends. Even those people from high school who refuse to acknowledge that you go to the same university may offer some valuable advice.
Two days ago I wrote a post about my summer internship with The Harrisburg Patriot News. Long story short, I botched it. I would never have put something like that out in the blogosphere if it was going to reflect negatively on myself or the Patriot. Anyone who is even considering a summer journalism internship should apply to PN.
It's important to remember who you are and what you stand for during a trying internship. Experience is great, but it always comes at a price.
