
In celebration of the Nittany Lions' first appearance in the NCAA March Madness Tournament since 2001, Nittany Nation is hosting a viewing party to kick off the beginning, and hopefully not the end, of this year's dance.

It's the day that Penn State basketball fans have been waiting for for a decade: the Nittany Lions return to the NCAA Tournament. The boys in Blue and White take on the Temple Owls, the same team that beat them in Atlanta in the 2001 Sweet Sixteen in their last appearance. The presidential election for the University Park Undergraduate Association has, as of last night, become a four-way race. The UPUA's Board of Arbitration ruled in favor of an appeal filed by David Adewumi and Sri Pisupati, whose ticket had been declared ineligible by the UPUA Elections Commission. After the Board ruled, 5 to 3, in their favor, the Elections Commission dropped its case against the other ticket it had also declared ineligible, Joseph Grimes and Tyler Wentz.

Last weekend at Northwestern University, Cael Sanderson and the Nittany Lion wrestlers captured their first ever Big Ten team championship edging out Iowa by just one point. Andrew Long, Frank Molinaro, David Taylor, Ed Ruth, and Quentin Wright all claimed individual crowns. Penn State will send eight wrestlers to the NCAA tournament this weekend at the Wells Fargo Arena in Philadelphia in an effort to win a national championship for the first time since 1953. Among the five champions, Brad Pataky, Andrew Alton, and Cameron Wade also earned trips to the tournament.
