The Future of Footwear Comes to Penn State

A new fad has hit Penn State, one that threatens to be greater than Pogs, Pokemon, and Yo-yos combined. They make you feel like Buzz Aldrin, and make Sketchers' ShapeUps look conservative.  I'm referring, of course, to Kangoo Jumps (KJs). Already rumored to be featured on the Richard Simmons comeback exercise video (full disclosure: the author started this rumor...right now), Kangoo Jumps are taking State College by storm, in all their goofy glory.

Around the Big Ten, Week 13 – Up to the BCS

The three teams at the top of the Big Ten all won this week, which means a three-way tie for the Big Ten title. With one more week still to go in the football season, it now comes down to BCS ratings to determine which team will earn the Big Ten BCS bid. As of this week, it is Wisconsin in the lead with Ohio State in second and Michigan State in third.

Maryland Ends Men’s Soccer Season for Second Year in a Row

For the second season in a row, the Penn State men's soccer team was knocked out of the NCAA Tournament by Maryland. Last year, the loss occurred in the second round. This time, the Nittany Lions made it to the third round before losing.

Diversity Roundtable Stresses Collaboration

What do we think of when we hear the name of a particular group on campus? This is exactly what Penn State students discussed at last night's Diversity Roundtable convened by the University Park Undergraduate Association's Student Life and Diversity Committee. The roundtable brought students of all races and backgrounds, representing numerous student organizations to the HUB to answer this question in the context of "diversity and campus media."
