THON Canning Begins

Hundreds of student volunteers are headed out near and far this weekend for the first canning weekend of the THON 2011 season.

Cans and signs are provided by the Rules and Regulations Committee for canners to hold while standing at intersections and in front of stores.

Field Hockey Bounces Back After Loss

The Lady Lions field hockey team followed a 3-0 loss at Ohio State over the weekend with a bounce back 4-1 win over Bucknell at home on Tuesday. The two games' results put the team's record at 10-4 overall and 3-2 in the Big 10.

Faculty Senate Approves New Minor Requirements

The Penn State University Faculty Senate held a regularly scheduled meeting yesterday at 1:30 p.m. in 112 Kern Graduate Building to discuss a number of issues, including the 2011 budget and a new legislation regarding minor requirements for students.
