Watch our streaming LIVE THON coverage throughout the weekend!

I'd never heard of THON until I came to Penn State. While that doesn't exactly set me apart from a huge amount of people, right now I just really have no idea what THON is. People have tried to explain it to me, but those explanations always end up with, "You have to see it."
I'm in Press Row at the BJC looking on, still not really too sure what I'm watching. Right now the dancers are coming through the tunnel of people onto the floor, and I can only imagine what it must feel like to have such a huge array of people cheering you on, and cheering on the cause.

Though dancers weren’t arriving until 4:30 p.m., students started lining up outside the BJC as early as 1 p.m. for THON.
Carly Littlehale of Gamma Phi Beta showed up early with her sisters to secure the best location in the stands, and were the third organization to get in line. Considering their spot right next to the floor, the extra wait time was worth it. The Gamma Phi Beta/Acacia team, as most teams have, scheduled shifts to make sure they reserve their spot. At least a few members of their 250 person team will be here all weekend.

We've already expressed our excitement at the possibility of the University of Texas being the twelfth member of the already-misnomered Big Ten. The allure of playing the most valuable team in College football was enough to convince many that this was a good idea, but not everyone is on board.
Thankfully, the internet has provided - a writer simply calling himself "Frank The Tank" has penned an exhaustive argument for the move, a "Template for Shooting Down Any Argument Against Texas Going to The Big Ten." We're still waiting on Ron Burgundy's analysis on how to get Nittany Lion Basketball to the NCAA tournament.
