
The Philadelphia Union and the Mack Brady Soccer Fund--started last January by Honors College Dean Christian Brady after the death of his eight year old son Mack-- will team up on August 8th to host a charity dinner to benefit the fund. PPL Park, the Union's stadium, will host the event, which will include appearances from six Penn State head coaches, as well as Union goalie Zac MacMath and other members of the Union. The dinner also features a silent auction, with signed memorabilia from all of Penn State's sports teams as well as some autographed memorabilia from Philadelphia sports teams.

Now that the men’s World Cup has wrapped up, the women are already focused on next summer and the 2015 women's World Cup, and Penn State is set to be represented on the national stage.

461 Penn State student-athletes achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the spring semester, a record for the spring. This comes after 468 achieved the same marks for the fall semester, making this past academic year a banner year for Penn State Athletics. The fall semester was the highest of any semester for the department, followed by the 2013 fall semester, and this past spring semester.
