
The David Taylor-Kyle Dake collegiate wrestling saga will likely draw to a close this weekend in the 165 pound NCAA national championship finals, in what many have dubbed the match of the century and one to save Olympic wrestling.

Penn State finishes the first day of wrestling on top. Six wrestlers head into the quarterfinals, and nine of the 10 wrestlers remain in competition.

Jeff Fisher, the popular Marketing and Promotions Manager of Penn State Football and all Olympic Sports, was removed from his position last week. It is unknown at this point who will assume the responsibilities left behind after his dismissal.

After going 25-5 in the regular season, the Penn State Lady Lions earned a #3 seed in the NCAA tournament. They will play the #14 Cal Poly Mustangs on Sunday at 5:15 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
