
The Happy Valley Brewing Company opened around a month ago, and are now finally offering their own beers. We were impressed the last time we went, but no review can be complete without sampling a micro brewery's hand crafted beer. Fellow writer Steve and I took it upon ourselves to do some hard hitting journalism, and we recently traveled to the HVBC to taste their new selection.
State Patty's Day will be held March 1, 2014, sandwiched like always between THON weekend and spring break. The student-created drinking holiday was born in 2007, when St. Patrick's Day fell during spring break, and has occurred annually since.

We don't need a survey to tell us how great State College is, but I'm certainly happy to have one. The American Institute for Economic Research (AIER) released its 2013-2014 college town rankings this weekend, and once again, Penn State came in third.

It has been a somber week in what is usually a very Happy Valley. Students have taken Conor MacMannis's fatal nine-story fall in last Saturday's Penn Tower tragedy seriously. If the comments on last week's article and the conversations being murmured around campus are any indication, the question on everybody's mind is: What kind of action, if any, can be taken to prevent similar tragedies from occurring in the future?
