Date Set for Event: State Patty’s Day Slated for March 1

State Patty's Day will be held March 1, 2014, sandwiched like always between THON weekend and spring break. The student-created drinking holiday was born in 2007, when St. Patrick's Day fell during spring break, and has occurred annually since.

State College Ranked Third Best College Town

We don't need a survey to tell us how great State College is, but I'm certainly happy to have one. The American Institute for Economic Research (AIER) released its 2013-2014 college town rankings this weekend, and once again, Penn State came in third.

In Wake of Tragedy, Downtown Security Questioned

A joint meeting between downtown bar owners and the Student Alcohol Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be held tomorrow to discuss, in part, bar closures on State Patty's Day, several sources have confirmed.
