Bedazzle Your Bra Competition

Jezebel’s Boutique in downtown State College is hosting their first ever “Bedazzle Your Bra” competition. Any materials can be used to decorate a bra, and for $10 it will be prominently displayed in the window of Jezebels College Avenue location.

Lemongrass Restaurant Opens Downtown

Squirrels. Outrageously priced clothing. Freshmen. Out of all of the things State College has in abundance, there’s one thing that there can never be enough of: Asian restaurants. Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese -- every single one has something different to offer. Scott Wong, the owner of Greenbowl, seems to agree, as his newest Vietnamese themed restaurant Lemongrass opened its doors just last week.

New Orleans Themed Restaurant “Duo” Set to Open

Happy Valley is about to receive a great heaping plateful of southern hospitality. Duo—a New Orleans themed restaurant—is opening soon in downtown State College at the location of the old Tony's Big Easy.

UPUA Speaks Out at Borough Council Meeting

But in all seriousness, the State College Borough Council did a good thing this week. The controversial Pennsylvania Voter ID Law was upheld by the courts last week, which requires voters to show ID's at the polls, and potentially disenfranchises thousands of voters who didn't have the foresight or means to obtain proper ID. Borough Council decided to hold a public forum where citizens could come and voice their opinion on a council resolution that would condemn the new law.
