French Eatery Opens Downtown: Joie de Crêpe

Joie de Crêpe in downtown State College is a tribute to all things French—accordion music, the fleur-de-lis, and (of course) butter. Specializing in gourmet crêpes and Belgian waffles, Joie de Crêpe is owner Hitham Hiyajneh’s take on the traditional French crêperie. (You may have seen Hitham at his other delicious establishment, Pita Cabana). Crêpe stands can be found on every street corner in Paris and are known for being quick and casual places to grab a bite to eat for cheap. Joie de Crêpe is no different.

2012 Arts Fest Preview

Apart from being that annual summer weekend when everyone descends back into State College to reunite, the Central Pennsylvania Festival for the Arts actually has a primary function, and a really good one at that. When you walk around downtown, there's a ton of really great artwork and performances that make you wonder to yourself, "What brought all this stuff to the middle of Pennsylvania?"

Zeno’s Recognized as a Top 20 College Bar

Downtown State College, like many college towns, is known for its various drinking establishments. One of those bars is even receiving a bit of national recognition. Men's Health recently named the "Best College Beer Bars in America," and Zeno's was one of the top twenty.
