Following the $7.5 million expansion that started in 2016, Shaver's Creek will re-open on Labor Day weekend.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
The new additions are intended to make the LionPATH's Student Center more user-friendly.
"If we are to retain folks in the state, we need to provide the basic protections for them to live and work."
The university anticipates construction on a new building to begin in November 2019 with completion in December 2020. Development plans would require approval from State College Borough Council.
